Elastica formed in 1992, led by two former members of Brett Anderson's Suede. A treble of singles; 'Stutter', 'Line Up' and 'Connection' were all well-received and ensured their place at the birth of Britpop. Their first LP was at the time the fastest-selling debut in chart history.
In truth, they never really went on to do much after that eponymous first album, and most of that was a blatant rip of other bands, but it's a great record nonetheless and they were quite an exciting band at the time. Not wanting to get all sentimental about the music of my youth and all that, but looking back now Britpop wasn't too shabby, even if it did give us Gene, Dodgy and Northern f*cking Uproar!

Wasnt so bad and would love to know who introduced the idea of emotionless band-members walking in the background of music video's, the idea is still in use today but I still dont get it.
