Trautmann Trophy (reprise)

Just a reminder of the Bert Trautmann Trophy commemorative friendly taking place at Mini-CoMS on Sunday. I blogged about it a few weeks back now, but with the big day nearly upon us thought it may be worth reminding folks, hopefully get a few more Blues down to support the good causes.

City season ticket holders, pensioners and kids can all gain entry for just £2, £4 for other adults. Making an appearance for the Former Players XI, amongst others, will be Ian Brightwell, Asa Hartford, Andy Morrison, Peter Barnes, Steve Redmond, Kenny Clements, Nicky Summerbee and Jim Melrose. The team will be coached by Paul Lake. Kick-off is 1pm.

Proceeds from the afternoon will be split between Bert's foundation, Inscape House, Christie Hospital and St Helens Town. A special programme will be available, priced £1.50, and including a foreword from the great man himself. The Centenary Supporters Association will also be undertaking collections on the day to raise funds for the Sierra Leona appeal.
