Formed in Minnesota in 2003, Tapes 'n Tapes first came to the public's attention a year later with a self-released self-titled EP. The Loon, their first album proper came in 2005 on Ibid Records. The band then signed to XL Recordings in the UK who re-released said record to favourable sales. Walk It Off followed two years later.Tapes 'n Tapes' musical style, it's said "varies in tempo and in influence, ranging from fast-paced polka renditions to the slower, more blues-influenced songs". Fans of Arcade Fire, White Denim, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Low, Pixies, or Kings of Leon's earlier records may be interested in their second album especially.
